BEAUTIFUL 1800'S BLACK ALTAR CROSS WITH MEMENTO MORI SYMBOL.THE CROSS AND BASE ARE MADE OF BLACKENED WOOD: NAPOLEON III ERA STYLE . THE WOOD IS NOT DAMAGED BUT SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF WEAR (OF THE PAINTED AREAS): GREAT OVERALL PATINA.THE CORPUS, INRI AND MEMENTO MORI SYMBOLS (SKULL ) ARE MADE OF BISQUE PORCELAIN. THEY ARE IN GOOD CONDITION : NO CRACKS OR CHIPS. GILDED LOIN CLOTH. THERE IS NO GLORY/HALO (AREA ON CROSS BEHIND THE CORPUS' HEAD). THE CROSS CAN BE REMOVED FROM THE BASE: I WILL SEND IT THIS WAY AS IT MAKES PACKING EASIER AND SHIPPING SAFER !FOR MEASUREMENTS, SEE THE PICTURES TAKEN WITH A RULER. MADE IN FRANCE C 1870-80.
