Here is a group of 18 vintage wooden thread spools of SilkThread Size A. I understand that this thread is used for fly-tying. Many of the spools have a lot on them, some less; one looks like it has been rewound onto the spool. Original yardage stamped on spools differs. Many different colors. Manufacturers include: JP Coats, Corticelli, Belding-Corticelli, Berkshire-Beckett, Rices, Corticelli-Richardson, Paragon. Seven of the Corticelli spools have a kitten face stamped on them. Note condition issues: · Some musty smell · Some chips in spools · Some top layers of thread soiled, but once top layer removed, clean underneath.
