Pietro Cardin, known as Pierre Cardin, was born in San Biagio di Callalta, Italy, on July 2, 1922. His family moved to France in 1924. Pierre Cardin worked for Paquin, Elsa Schiaparelli, and Christian Dior, until 1950, when he founded his own House. In 2011 Cardin tried to sell his business, but ultimately he did not sell the brand. This particular Pierre Cardin clothing label is from a 1970s vintage coat.
