Giorgio Armani was born on July 11, 1934, in Piacenza, Italy. After three years in the Department of Medicine, he left and joined the army. In 1957 he was a window dresser at La Rinascente, a famous Milan department store. In the mid-1960s he worked as a designer for Nino Cerruti. He founded Giorgio Armani SpA on July 24, 1975, in Milan, and by the end of the 1990s, he already had over 200 stores worldwide. Giorgio Armani is best known for his popular men's suits.
