The Royal Hawaiian Manufacturing Company was founded in 1937 by Max Lewis with eight sewing machines and twelve employees. Within a few years, Royal Hawaiian was shipping garments to the United States, Bermuda, London, Paris, Switzerland and Australia. The Aloha Shirt was first sold at "Musashi-ya Shoten" in Honolulu. "Musashi-ya" was established by Japanese immigrant Chotaro Miyamoto in 1904. This particular clothing label is from a Hawaiian shirt.
