J.C. Penney is an american department store chain established in 1902 in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The company was founded by James Cash Penney and William Henry McManus. By 1930 there were over 1000 J.C. Penney stores. Today, the company has 850 locations in 49 US states, and Puerto Rico. During this time they carried a collection of Hawaii-influenced versions of their own Aloha Shirts manufactured in Japan. The Aloha Shirt was first sold at "Musashi-ya Shoten" in Honolulu. "Musashi-ya" was established by Japanese immigrant Chotaro Miyamoto in 1904. This particular clothing label is from a Hawaiian shirt.
