Hookano, founded in 1946, was a smaller Aloha shirt manufacturer in Honolulu owned by George Sato. The word Hookano means "proud". The Aloha Shirt was first sold at "Musashi-ya Shoten" in Honolulu. "Musashi-ya" was established by Japanese immigrant Chotaro Miyamoto in 1904. This particular clothing label is from a Hawaiian shirt.
