Hale Niu, means "house of coconuts". They were a shirt maker in the late 1940's in Honolulu creating sportswear and aloha shirts. The Aloha Shirt was first sold at "Musashi-ya Shoten" in Honolulu. "Musashi-ya" was established by Japanese immigrant Chotaro Miyamoto in 1904. This particular clothing label is from a Hawaiian shirt.
