In September of 1949, Duke Kahanamoku a Hawaiian hero, Olimpic swimming champion, and legendary surfer was contracted to endorse a line of Aloha shirts by Cisco Casual, a manufacturer based in New York and California. This would become a 12-year partnership between Cisco and Duke. The Aloha Shirt was first sold at "Musashi-ya Shoten" in Honolulu. "Musashi-ya" was established by Japanese immigrant Chotaro Miyamoto in 1904. This particular clothing label is from a Hawaiian shirt.
