The Padleton Woolen Mill was established in 1909 in Portland, Oregon. The company started with the production of Indian blankets from their own sheep and spun. By 1929, Pendleton was producing a full line of menswear. In 1949 the company began developing a line of sportswear for women. Pendleton worked exclusively in wool until 1972. This particular Pendleton clothing label is from a 1980s suit.
