The first Paraphernalia boutique opened in New York in 1965. Paraphernalia company worked with designers like Betsey Johnson, Deanna Littell, and Diana Dew. The store was very successful, so they began to franchise. By 1968 there were 44 Paraphernalia stores in the US. Paraphernalia franchise died out in the late 1970s. This particular Paraphernalia clothing label is from a 1960s dress.
