Hanae Mori was born in 1926 in Yoshika, Japan. She studied in Tokyo where she opened her first atelier in 1951. In 1975 Hanae Mori moved to Paris where she opened another atelier. She retired in July 2004. This particular Hanae Mori clothing label is from a 1970s dress.
