Duke Kahanamoku was born in 1890 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a five-time Olympic medalist in swimming. In the 1930s Duke Kahanamoku started an association with Kahala Sportswear, and in 1949 he had his name on shirts by Cisco. This particular Kahanamoku clothing label is from a 1940s shirt.
