Thierry Hermes established a harness workshop in Paris in 1837. In 1924, Hermes established a presence in the United States and opened two shops outside of Paris. In 1993 the company had gone public on the Paris Bourse but the Hermes family was still retaining a strong hold of about 80% in stocks. This particular Hermes clothing label is from a 1970s coat.
