Guccio Gucci was born in Florence, Italy, in 1881. He founded the House of Gucci in 1921. In the 1950s the company was inherited by Guccio's sons and the company opened a store in the United States. The double G monogrammed fabric was brought out in 1969. House of Gucci worked with some famouse designers like Tom Ford, Alesandra Facchinetti, Frida Giannini or Alessandro Michele.
