Marshall Field founded the Marshall Field department store in 1881. He died in 1907 but the business continued on until 1990 when was bought by Target. In 2006 began the process that changed all the Marshall Field stores to Macy's. This particular Marshall Field clothing label is from a 1940s skating dress.
