Louis Byck set up Byck's as a shoe store in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1902. In 1925, the store started to sell women's clothing. Through the 1970s and 1980s Byck's opened new stores but beginning with the 1990s they start to close them. The company was liquidated in 1991. This particular Byck's clothing label is from a 1980s suit.
