Azzedine Alaïa was born in 1940 in Tunis, Tunisia who studied at Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Tunis. In 1957 he moved to Paris to work in fashion design. He worked for Dior, Guy Laroche and Thierry Mugler until he opened his own atelier in the late 1970s. He died in 2017 in Paris. This particular Alaïa clothing label is from a 1980s chiffon jaket.
