Adolph Dassler was an avid soccer player who had been making sports shoes since the 1920s. The Adidas company was founded in 1947 in Horzogenaurach, Germany and it's name was given in 1948, a shortened form of Adolph (Adi) Dassler's name. Today, Adidas is one of the largest sportswear manufacturer in the world. This particular Adidas clothing label is from a late 1980s polo shirt.
