The Jefferson Glass Company was founded in 1900 by four partners. It operated in one form or another from 1900 to 1933. Initially the company was located in Steubenville, Ohio, but relocated to Follansbee, West Virginia, in 1908. Jefferson also briefly operated a plant in Toronto called the Jefferson Glass Company Limited of Toronto. From 1913 to 1925, the company was controlled by the Dominion Glass Company. The Jefferson Glass Company Limited produced Canada's finest line of Electric Portable and Boudoir Lamps. All these lamps were hand painted in their own decorating department. The lamp in this image is the No.151 pattern.
